Xmas Eve Eve
It is rare that I shop in an empty supermarket. I had the pleasure on the eve of Christmas Eve. My girlfriend and I were shopping for Xmas day food; she hosts the holiday dinner. It was fantastic to move around the store without inadvertently playing bumper supermarket trolleys. I also had a chance to actually look around the empty store. Big box retail buildings are a strange combination of warehouses and scientific mass market merchandising with corrugated steel roofs and fancy track lighting. Here are a couple of photos of a liberated, but lonely balloon that was only as free as the height of the ceiling. And here’s another photo of my girlfriend looking down the dairy cooler. Merry Xmas!
